Negrense, a name called for people from Negros in the Visayas, which is at the central part of the Philippines.  One of the most interesting subjects in photography is the simple folk.  It’s simply captivating to encounter someone carry on with daily life, especially when there is contentment in one’s realm – the caretaker who let us in at lunch break in Balay Negrense, the waitresses serving desserts in Calea and other nameless faces who left an impression, maybe because of their smiles, through the lens.
